Lot's of responses about phanton pain, horseback riding, prosthetic material, etc., so surely someone can provide some advice for my question: I'm a bilateral AK since June of '99 and my suction sockets leak air through the bleeder valve thus making the socket loose and generally a poor fit. My prost has tried two different kinds of valves, the "green dot" kind and now one from Otto Bock that seems pretty heavy duty, but does not keep a suction. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives or something that might work? Surely all AK's with a suction socket don't have this problem? Please help. Thanks.
