Obviously, the seal fails; why? If the whole problem is with the valves, then it must be something beyond manufacturing defects. You have some of the best valves available. When one "pistons" in the socket, very high instantious presses can be generated. I suspect the technique you are using to get into the sockets are leaving areas of skin pulled or stretched. These areas allow air in and when you land on one prosthesis, the air which must be very close to the valve, has its pressure increased rapidly to the point of valve release. Then, it is all downhill. Do you wear a socket made up of a flexible inner socket that fits in a outer frame of hard plastic? Can you see your skin contact with the socket? Do you use a sleeve or ACE bandage to pull yourself into the socket? Do you use any skin creams on areas that make particularly firm contact with the socket? Another idea, David, would be to use a "3S" socket with something like an ICEROSS liner and a shuttle lock with pin. Lots of problems disappear. You get some others in return, however. Best wishes. With some of the above questions answered, a better answer could be arrived at. Karen
