living as an amputeePosted by chris on February 11, 19101 at 18:51:41:
Hi,I'm a faithful reader of this boardand I can't believe what's going on here.On the 24th I"ll be an amputee for 2 years. We all have our troubles.I lost my leg because it was ripped of of me,not from a illness and I remember the accident[i did'nt lose contisiousness].Sorry, just a little bit of my story. What I was wondering is when it finnaly sink in that this is as good as it gets, that this is my leg now and it has to do all the real one did.I work very hard every day at walking and doing things, but I get wore out it seems real easy for example I know can't stand in a line for 20 minute or longer to to do anything. My stanima is not very good and Itry to dostuff alot.Eventually it has to get better doesn't it?Thank all of you for posting your comments on everything. It has been very helpful.
