: A message to all my friends out there in "cyberspace land" -- have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
: Bet you thought I was going to say radio land.

: To each of you: a dozen long stem red roses and sunshine to fill your entire day. Don't water the roses - your keyboard will be shot.

: I mentioned before, I wore my first suction socket for nine years and it's shot; socket, knee, foot, cover.

: Today was my 21st trip for my new leg project. Tried on the latest suction socket. Will be ready in two weeks. Fit really feels great. There have been many sockets cast this time around but I think this one is finally THE one. Next trip will be number 22.
: The project has been going on since last August and each time I try a socket for several weeks or more.
: I have been wearing a new Mauch SNS knee and new flex foot since early in the project.

: Lucky for me I have a very experienced (25+ years) certified prostetist and he listens and reacts in a positive manner to each little problem I encountered.
: The same guy made my first leg nine years ago.

: To all recent amputee; be patient and don't settle for anything until you have something that really fits. Do not be discouraged, it takes time.

: To me the three most important things when getting fit are; the socket, the socket, the socket. All that said, the Mauch SNS knee, a flex foot and proper alignment are the basic and after that it's the socket, socket, socket.

: God's blessing on everyone's efforts. Hang in there.
