: I am a fairly recent right above knee amputee. I have recently been looking for a new car. I will be driving with my left leg. The issue I face is that when I pull my prosthetic back so my left foot has access to the pedals it interferes with the steering wheel at times unless I turn my right leg (prosthetic) to the right. Does anyone know of a car/vechile that has its steering wheel out of the way or is wider to the right? Let me know your thoughts and experiences. : Thanks : Brent Hi Brent, Do you have a left foot pedal orare you driving with the regular pedals. I am also a right AKA. I have a left foot gas pedal and it makes things easier. It only cost $200.00.I bought a Dodge Caravan. I had a problem getting in and out of my old car and tried several cars. This was the easiest for me to get in and out. The sterring wheel moves to different positions also. I hope this helps. Good luck!
