Well it seems that my comment about the Cleg has stirred up quite a hornet's nest! For all those who have the leg, you are fortunate! Some of us cannot afford one, and have to "limp" on in life. But you have to realize that people only know what is told them by their prosthesist. And people who are newly amputees can be "fooled" easily, since they do not know what is available to them. Where can you go on the web to see what a c-leg looks like and what is is composed of. A lot of you seem to know all the answers! Could it be that you are a lot smarter when it comes to the subject of amputees do's and don't's because you have been an amputee longer than some of us. And since you have you know much more, and know where to go to get the right information. My prosthesist could be a liar, and just doesn't want to redo my leg. The long and the short of it is that at first he did a hydralic knee for me first, and it proved to be too heavy for me, and then he changed it to a non-hydralic knee- and charged my insurance company the full 17,000 dollars, even though I don't have the first leg he made. I just don't know if I can trust him anymore, because I believe he was just out to make as much money as he could make from the insurance company and did not care whether I could walk on the legs or not. How can you tell if you have a good prosthesist or not? Anyone have an answer to that question?
