KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police could be close to arresting a robbery suspect who left behind his artificial leg, KMBC reported Monday. "It looks like a titanium-type prosthetic device, very expensive. I'm sure if he wants his leg back, he'll turn himself in," Det. Dana Mauzy said. There is also a surveillance camera, which caught the robbery on tape. The suspect is described as being in his 30s or 40s, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red coat, tan pants, and missing his artificial leg. A second suspect is described as 40- to 45-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing around 185 pounds. Police said that the pair got away with $50 and fled in an '80s or '90s black Ford Aerostar minivan. Anyone with information is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
