: I've never bought a prosthesis where the therapy was part of the cost including a c-leg. It is a different service than what is provided by a prosthetist. However, I have had prosthetists that worked extensively with me on my gait - they have often been more helpful than the therapy I've received. To initially learn to walk however, it would be important to have some therapy. It's important that your nephew start out with good habits and technique - it's much easier to start out right than to get in bad habits that he will need to break later.

Nancy,

Thank you so much for your reply. I will pass this on to my sister. Right now they are still working with plastic surgeons and doctors and haven't talked to a prosthetist yet so she wasn't sure what was involved and how this worked. I also want to say that this board has helped me in understanding the best I can on what he is going through and the challenges he faces. Each of you are an inspiration for all that come here and I applaud you all for being on this board sharing information, educating and most important caring.

Thank you again,

Charlotte
