On Novemer 18 it was a year after I became a amputee.I have 2 small children an was very physically active before my accident. Besides my amputation my left leg was shattered from my hip down to my toes and my left arm was crushed leaving me with severe nerve damage in my hand.The year was very long and hard but I made it through.I decided I was going to LIVE.Beleive me its not easy, people used to look at me to check me out, now they look at me to try and figure out what is wrong with me.I'm much slower than I used to be but Im getting faster.You always think about the past, but it does get better.I even started on the treadmill the other day for the first time since my accident, that was a great personal achievement.Like I said its not easy, but life can always be worse, and I want to be happy.I hope you can be too.Take care.
