I was wondering if anyone could possibly offer any solutions to the embarassing noise the socket can make when you move a certain way or get up and put weight on your leg from a sitting position to a standing position. I know tht you can try to push the plug button as you get up, but this doesn't always work. I would be committed if it happened and I told someone Oh excuse me that wasn't me shitting my pants it was my prosthetic. I have really gotten some disgusting looks and am speechless from mortification when it happens. My prosthesist just kind of laughs and says it is something I will have to learn to deal with and avoid if I can at all. It is embarrassing and has probably happened to most amputees at one time or another. The last time it inconveniently happened to me was in the front of church during communion. It was a turning point for me and I decided I had "lived with it" long enough and had a new socket made. It is much better and I actually have to work at losing suction including when I get up from a chair. Good luck Nancy
