: I went throughthis same issue last summer. I did find a knee that is 100% water proof and sand resistant. It is manufatured by aulie and is called the nylon knee.It is a very basic knee w/ no hydralics or any good features. It did allow me to go in the water-not very well on inclines as it buckels very easiley. The other issue I had is the foot I put on it was off my 1st leg and it floats. So when I walk in the water me foot floats behind me(knee fully bent), so I have to straighten the leg out by hand to walk in water over 1 foot deep. It seems like there has to be something better out there. I was thinking of sealing my mauch in some sort of water proof bag to be able to use it.
