AK Amputee

I am so happy to have found a place for amputees to discuss life. I have a question for everyone. I have been a AK left amputee since December of 2000. I have a Mauch knee unit with a flex foot. The past couple of months I have had a problem with parts "breaking." So far I have broke a socket, and the section that connects the pole below and the knee unit twice. Is this a common occurance? I am fairly young at 23. I am 6'3" and about 215. I do wear my leg approximately 12-14 hours a day. I do not have a extremly active life. I do have desk job and go to school, besides that I basically just try to live life like I did before the amputation. Has anyone else had similar problems with these units? I would appreciate any feedback!!
