Please don't make any decisions until you have tried everything. I have a rak and my left leg was completely shattered at the time of my accident. My hip has screws, my femur is a rod, my tib and fib have plates, my ankle broken, and even my foot was crushed so badly that I have very limited movement. It is rigid. But, let me tell you the pain gets better, I worked very hard to get as much function back as I could and I lead a pretty active life. I would give almost anything to have my right leg back, I wish it was rebuilt like my left. I was non weight bearing for a very long time on both my legs. DONT GIVE UP YET. My accident was exactly 2 years ago and I'm still getting better. If you need to talk let me know. Good luck.
