With all the bad weather we had on the east coast I thought there would of been alot of posts on this web site. I guess everybody is out and about. I wasn't, with all the snow we got, I just went out yesterday for a walk, still alot of ice and snow on the sidewalks. Had to cut back on the drinking unable to sweat it out and my legs got tight. This is a tough time of the year to keep the weight down. I was coaching CYO soccer this past fall. We started in August and with the heat I had no problems with gaining weight. We had a real good season, finish in second and only lost two games. The last one was a playoff game and we got beat in a shootout. I was a little worried about how I would be accepted. I always coached my son's or daughter's teams, so all the players and most of the parents knew me. In the last year I went back to coaching but in a new neighborhood. Since I didn't know anyone on the team I wondered what the reaction been be to a new coach who was also a double above the knee amputee. No problems at all. Told the girls what the situation was and after one little girl put me through twenty questions that was the end of it. A few of the fathers would show up a practice and hit the ground balls and help with the drills. Oh also did softball and I'm looking forward to March. Oh one more thing the kids were a big help, always there to get the equipment out of the car, carry it to the fields, just really pitch it. Let's get some new posts I like to read them not write them.
