Hi Quentin, I lost my leg in 94 due to being hit by a car, I was a pedestrian. I thought I would not be able to do the things I did before, like playing golf. I had two amputees visit me in the hospital, one was an elderly man who didn't wear a prostetic leg & he golfed. He encouraged me that I would be able to golf. After I got out I took so lessons from a golf pro who was an arm amputee. He taught me there was not much difference than before, just a balance issue. If you overcome that you can do it. I have played in two amputee golf tournaments & that was amazing to see 30-50 amps playing golf. By the way the elderly man played in the first tournament. It was amazing to see him crutch up to his ball, throw his crutches down & hit his ball & then hop around on one leg. I was awe struck. Hang in there, try to hit some balls, you will be able to do it. You might not play as well as before but at least you will have a good excuse for bad play. Get your socket checked out & make sure it is fitting well that will make a big difference. As far as walking down hill, it's still tricky. I think it just takes practice & getting use to your knee. I have the c-leg & still don't feel very confident walking down hill. But keep at it. As far as the blue days we all have them, sometimes I throw a little pitty party & then tell myself get over it. I can't change what happened to me & neither can you, you just have to accpet it. If it gets too bad find someone to talk to, maybe a friend or a counselor that can be helpful. Well take care my friend & hang in there. Keep us posted to how you are doing. Signed a fat, one leged golfer, Wes
