: I'm trying to appeal for a c-leg -my insurance Regence/Blue shield turned it down as a "Delux" model. I'm 61 years now and fairly active -volunteering and shopping and visiting but still use a crutch on one side for support and safety. any helpful advice and also how many of you with C-legs still use a cane or crutch outside? Thanks bev The only leg I think would be deluxe would be having my biological leg back. No insurer would deny their own relatives the right to keep their own legs functional and healthy if given the choice. All prostheses attempt to approximate the biological original. The cleg makes life, health and mind better because it comes closer to approximating the original and creates peace of mind and soundness of body that akas did not know before. The fact that that insurance executives pocket millions and try to make us walk on anything less is inhumane.
