Hi Jeff: I'm a double above the knees since I was 12. I got real fat then but lost the weight when I when back to school. By the time I was 16 I was in good shape and got a set of weights, which I still have and work with about twice a week. I still remember my father says that the weights would just sit in a corner somewhere.
I'm 60 now and not as strong as I was. It's funny I never gave to much thought to going to other peoples houses, I knew no matter what kind of steps they had I was strong enought to get up them. My shoulders have paid the price for being very active, on the right one I torn the rotor cluff and after 4 operations it only about 60 percent.
WHat I do now are crunches I guess about 250 of them about 2 or 3 times a week to keep my back strong. Lifting the wieghts and I go for a walk a few times a week, I guess average time about an hour. Yesterday I walked for about an hour and 15 mintues I guess that is close to 2 miles for me. Boy I really sweat the weight off then. My big problem is I like to drink. If I drink four or five nights in a row my legs get very tight.I know I should cut the drinking out but I like my beer.
