New Amputee

Hi there. My boyfriend just got his left leg amputated above the knee and I just had a few questions.
1) What does he do for going to the bathroom at night?
2) Can he still go swimming in the ocean with a prosthetic?
3) What accomadations need to be made at home?

If there is anyone out there that lives around Detroit, Michigan who is an amputee I'd love for you to come and talk to my boyfriend.
