C-leg Repair

My insurance company just denied coverage for a c-leg repair. Their reason is that my policy provides for standard equipment only. It would seem to me that a functioning knee is pretty standard. I plan to appeal but am wondering if anyone has used or knows of any compelling arguments that have been effective? Any ideas are welcome.
