Swimming is probably my only obstacle that I have not been able to beat. Waterparks, lakes and oceans. You really cant go swimming with a leg on unless you have one built especially for it, but they are costly. I sit on the beach and watch everyone else and bring a book. My fiance loves the water and it doesnt bother me for her to go swimming and not me. I have heard of people doing although. Take the leg off right there on the beach and either hop to the water or bring crutches. I've never been the right state to show off like that. Going to the pool although, that's easy, your ass is the safest place to get around or into the pool. I although did a jump board over this past summer. That was interesting. He will tell you if he needs any accomodations. As as long as he wears his leg during the day and the floor is clean of obstacles he shouldnt have any problems. Shower chair for showering for new amputee, clean floors, that's about all. Make sure of railing for any steps or inclins. Otherwise he will let you know. : Hi there.
