I grew up in the same, small town Mark grew up in. He was one of those "dare devils" who always seemed to tempt fate. Anyone who reads his post and feels even remotely like him should understand that. He wasn't "active," he was suicidal. He lost his father at a young age. It was tough on his whole family. Now, they've lost him. The story doesn't end with Mark, either. On September 26, his mother died. I don't know the cause of her death, but I'm sure her son's suicide did not help her physical or mental health. It's a very sad situation. Anyone contemplating suicide needs to remember that suicide is an unacceptable solution. You owe it to yourself and to your loved ones to struggle on and wait for the bullshit to pass. Of course there are medications that can help, but time is usually the best "cure" for serious depression. Like everything else we face in life, it's a bitch and then it's not. Peace.
