: HAS ANY ONE TRIED THE M A S SOCKET ? HOW IS THE FIT, IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE IN YOUR AMOUNT OF MOVEMENT ? THANK'S, JOE C

I have been working with my prosthetist for the last couple of months on the MAS socket. We are to the point that I can say it finally fits. I really can't compare it to anything else, as I have only been an amputee for about 1 1/2 years, and I really haven't had a permanent socket yet. I just know that in working through the test sockets for the past few months, it is feeling pretty good. My pro has fitted myself and another AK and he has been an amputee for 18 years, and he doesn't want to go back to his old style of socket.

I know that Ally who is on this site a lot has been working with a MAS socket also. She has a website, and I have lost the link to it so she would need to give it to you. I know shse has had quite a struggle getting hers to fit properly, and am not sure where she is with it now.

Just from my own expierence, I think I will be quite happy with it.
